Hi all,
Just a little report :
Before fitting the TVS diodes (just for information) :
The last burnt, the DRV8308 was working when connecting on the spi bus (the
motor can spin unsing the l command). But the error pin was pulsing and so the rover detected an error.
After replacing it, the
motor was running without an error so it was again the drv8308 the problem.
After fitting the TVS diodes :
The rover drove for about 30minutes and made at least 5
motor stop (due to the floating gps timeout (it is the first time i have the problem))
After about 30 minutes the mow error pup up...
BUT : i connected the
arduino using SPI to check, and at the beginning i was able to read the config from the drv8308, but the
motor was unable to spin. When i twisted the driver PCB the
motor began to run again.
So i suspect a defective track on the en driver board (i changed the drv8308 6 times on this pcb) and not a DRV8308 burnt this time
I will check that and report back.
It is a problem that i don't have another blank pcb to mount another driver.
What i can say is that the mow
motor stopped 5 times and the drivers was still alive so maybe the TVS diodes are the solution.
I now will try to fix the defective track.
More to come soon.
Stephane.
