    I2C PCB1.4 EMF/EMI shielding

There is a lot IMF/EMI going on inside the case which can affect the PCB1.4 I2C bus as well as the IMU's compass etc. Has anyone tried to isolate the PCB 1.4 or the motors and akku with EMF Blocking fabric or something like this...

New English translation of V1.4 assembly instructions

Nice work on the manual! Came handy when doing my first PCB 1.4 . I recorded my assembly of the PCB 1.4 and made a playlist of 6 videos with English captions. If you feel like adding any links to the manual or anyone else to anywhere, please feel free to do so! I have added a link back to this...

PCB 1.4 English assembly videos as I go, translations welcome

Ok, all 6 soldering videos are ready and in the playlist. I am 100% sure this will help people starting a project like this. I would really appreciate if some of you could do few translations and of course you can add your own credentials to your translations! I shot the videos in 6 sessions...

Perimeter wire gauge 1 mm² or bigger?

A late answer but.. I'm using the more common 1,0mm² green wire in my other location and in the other one the older brown Ambrogio cable, which I'm guessing is 1,2mm² - 1,3mm² and I don't see any difference between them in performance. But probably the best tip I can give about the wires is to...

Thunder / Lightning protection for perimeterwire

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have finally found a lightning protection for my perimeter wire. I live in an area where we have very bad thunders couple of times a year and last year one such fried completely one PCB1.3 and the perimeter sender by surge coming in from the perimeter...

PCB 1.4 English assembly videos as I go, translations welcome

I did video series on PCB 1.3 and now making one for PCB 1.4 . Have so far soldered enough for 3 videos and planning to complete the whole board in next weeks or days. All translations, for any languages would be appreciated! I will add them to the videos...

Large electrolytic capacitors on PCB 1.4

@sven Thanks again for the super fast reply! This time I did read the manual, but wanted to share my "tips" and to discuss this futher. I used to hot glue these capacitors with a large dots of hot glue. Having operated multiple robots for past few years I have learned that the hot glue will...

PCB 1.4 too tall for PCB1.3 replacement

@der metty Yes, I did see the pictures in the manual without the extra edges, but didn't find a word about removing them. Thank you very much for confirming this! Will try to carefully remove them. Edit: All 3 PCB 1.3's came without these extra strips. That's the confusion on my part.

Large electrolytic capacitors on PCB 1.4

I again fail to see why the big capacitors have been rotated 90 degrees on the new PCB 1.4. First of all you can't even solder them without shaping the legs on Z-like shape because there is no room for them. They can also not be secured to the PCB when standing the new way. I hope the capacitor...

PCB 1.4 too tall for PCB1.3 replacement

Another question or confirmation as I did not find anything about this in the manuals. Has the case for mower with PCB1.4 gotten taller or am I just supposed to clip off the upper and lower part of the PCB1.4 to fit it in place of PCB1.3? I think there is some sort of carving on the board to cut...

PCB 1.4 no INA169, how will PCB 1.4 handle 4A charging

@sven Thank you so much! Should've taken my time to go it trough all. Really appreciated! Edit: I'm blind. It's all there that I need. ;)

    E1, EF1, EF2 fuses soldered on PCB1.4, explain please?

@sven Thank you for the reply! I recon I will go for similar style as I have done with my 1.3's. Would be much easier if it had punch through for the EF1/EF2 like there used to be. BTW when I was looking at the original PCB1.3 drawings it had 5A for EF1 and 10A for EF2. If I read the fine print...

PCB 1.4 no INA169, how will PCB 1.4 handle 4A charging

Sorry if these all have been documented somewhere, but also wondering about how will the PCB 1.4 handle 4A charging? The INA169 had a bridge I could solder on and it was able to handle up to 5A charging. Batteries have max 4A charging allowed so I have been using a 4A charger on my mowers. Will...

    E1, EF1, EF2 fuses soldered on PCB1.4, explain please?

Just soldering and making videos of putting PCB1.4 together. I was shocked (to put it mildly) about the decision to solder the fuses on PCB1.4. Why make such a decision? E1 I can understand, hard to blow, but EF1 and EF2? Have blown so many of those during the years. Was so easy to change by...
