Question about schematic

I have two question re: the above graphic. What is Z1, a diode? And at the bottom I am assuming that is the positive leg of the battery with the negative going to the ground bus.

In the first moment i was wondering to but it is right in the graphic.
Negativ is going to GND.


what do you mean with Z1 ? In the schematic is only D2 and Schotky ?

Where the arrow is, below it there is the label Z1 Is that a diode or the battery? It looks like a battery symbol but the label Z1 is confusing me. Or where the battery 24v is located it looks like that is a ground. I know Europe has different symbols for grounds and I just want to make sure.
