L298N motor driver module

The module I bought looks close to the one that on the Ardumower website but its not the same. What modification do i need to make on my modules? Already burned 2 modules.

Hello Rob,

for higher motor current, connect

OUT1--OUT4
OUT2--OUT3
IN1--IN4
IN2--IN3

If they still get too hot, you might need a motor driver with higher current...

So there is no need to cut any of the traces like the one on the ardumower website?

Im preety new in this field, and one thing confusing me.
I would like to order motor driver module for my Tianchen board, but everywhere said that this is stepper driver.
Is this same for brushed motors?
