And what is the maximum length of the loop that the sender can slow?

Hello Charles,

Actually, you can use any cable type (all cable types should work). The cable length should not exceed 1000m. Do you plan do use a longer cable?

Hallo all,

Has anybody tested German Army Fernmeldekabel (800 m ca 50€)?

I just shot it at Ebay, but it will take a while to test, because. I need to build up sender / receiver first.

Hello Peter,

I have not tested this, I think it will work, however: at the end of the cable, you will need to twist all cables wires (if there are multiple wires in this cable) including the shield and then use it as one wire cable by connecting everything:

----------------- insulation
 --shield-----+
 --wire 1-----+
 --wire 2-----+--------------- "one unshielded wire"
 --etc.   ----+
 --shield-----+
 ------------------ insulation

Because otherwise the shield will 'absorb' the signal (my guess)...
