What are the intentions of mowPatternCurr == MOW_BIDIR

In the Azurit code is see definitions of mowPatternCurr == MOW_BIDIR

I know it is not used, but what was the intention of this mowing pattern?
Just curious...

Mower run forward ,find the wire and continue to mow backward (reverse) without roll (But need bumper all arround mower like ROBOMOW RL100 or WIPER.
