I noticed that I have a periodic noise on the ADC's, when using the LM2596 switch mode power supply (period is 5 samples, so ~1600Hz, signal varies +/- 6%).
When powered over USB, the noise is not there. If I attach the LM2596 at 7V to the Vin of the Arduino (and thus is applied through the linear voltage regulator on board of the arduino), the noise is even worse than when I connect the LM2596 at 5V directly to the 5V of the arduino.
Anybody having an explanation for this, and preferably also an indication how I can reduce the noise? Alternatively, I need to do an 5point average on any ADC value measured...
