Hallo liebes Forum,
owlMaker Forum – Beta: forum.owlrobotics.app

Hello everyone,
As you have probably already noticed, our development work is increasingly focused on our new Linux-based platform.
The reason for this is that the existing Ardumower hardware is gradually reaching its technical limits. For many applications, it is still a good and proven solution, but modern sensors and computationally intensive technologies can only be implemented to a limited extent.
We will continue to support and maintain Sunray. The software provides a solid and proven foundation for robotic lawn mowing, and we want to ensure that existing Ardumower and Alfred systems can continue to be used.
At the same time, the new Linux-based technology opens up completely new possibilities. We can integrate modern sensors such as cameras and 3D LiDAR and use significantly more powerful technologies for navigation, object detection, mapping and AI-based data processing.
Support for existing Ardumower systems
The existing Ardumower Forum will remain available. We will also continue to operate and maintain the required servers and software services.
Our goal is to ensure that existing Ardumower and Alfred robots can continue to be operated, maintained and used in the long term.
New forum for SmartMow and the new platform
In parallel, we are developing a new forum for the SmartMow technology. This is where we will introduce new hardware and software features, document developments and discuss them together with the community.
An important part of the new platform will also be AI-assisted support. Our goal is to help users find the right information and solutions more quickly and, in particular, make it easier to get started with their own projects.
The new owlMaker Forum is currently still under development and in beta testing. However, you are already very welcome to take a look around, create an account and try out the new features:

Your feedback is especially welcome during this development phase.
New SmartMow Assistant for mower conversions
In addition, we have developed a new tool that guides users step by step through the conversion of an existing robotic lawn mower into a SmartMow robot.
The assistant provides a clear path through the project and takes the individual requirements of each conversion into account – from selecting suitable hardware, sensors and drive components to the controller and software.
Our goal is to make it much easier to get started and to turn a large amount of individual information into a clear and structured path towards building your own robot.

We look forward to seeing you explore the new possibilities, try them out and share your experiences and ideas with the community.
