I hope to start my Ardumower project in the new year. i have a question regarding the drive motors, i have 2 24v High Torque Worm Geared Motor 27rpm and 2.5Nm torques but it has no encoder, i wonder would these be suitable for the drive motors? has anyone used motors without the encoders like this? could i just reverse the motors for a few seconds and change direction when Ardumower meets an obstacle?
I plan to build a basic ardumower with perimeter wire,my garden is approx 400m2 and flat. So, do i need to take out parts of the code that i dont need? or do i just download the code and Ardumower will just ignore the parts that i dont have such as bumper, wifi, gps, rain sensor etc?
