Battery vs motor voltages

I'm wondering about the battery and Ardumower motor specifications. My battery can run from about 29V to 17V. However the motors can only run at 24V or above. Why is the motors and/or battery specs so that I can't even run the battery to midway empty? At 24V the battery could run for 7V (24V->17V) more, after using only 5V (29V->24V).

Is there an alternative for the Ardumower motors that can run like 18V - 29V? Or could the battery be custom made, so that it could run from say 36V to 24V. Why are we only using small part of the battery or have I undestood something completely wrong here?

Hi wahts your Batterie Cell ?
18650?
Do not discharge under 3v =21v (7 Cell)
I Charge my Batterie to 29v and discharge 21 V
For longer Livetime! Up to 3 Times longer!!!

Hi, thanks for the tip! I think my cells can do 2,6V to 4,2V. I have never even tried to go below 23V, because of 24V motors. Is it safe for the motors to go 21V?

To tell you the truth, I solved my problems by multiple battery packs that have a whopping 20,8Ah total capacity. I'm going about 28,5V to 23V and getting over 10 hours of run time, but even that is just barely enough for the lawn.

Hi Markor i have 7x 4,2 =29,4V full
i mow then ends with 21,0 Volt yes the Motors run with 21 V safe.
best regards Michael
