I want to build an Autonomous Lawn Mower. Just a regular walk behind mower with wheel chair motors. For GPS, Im going to buy a simpleRTK2B Budget. My questions is. As far as GPS, do i need the simpleRTK2B Budget and the antenna. or do I also need to make a base station. Id rather not buy what i dont need. Do i need a base station?

If you can use a GPS Service like SAPOS in Germany, then you can use NTRIP. But you need a strong W-LAN signal in all places on your yard. With a own RTK/GPS Base you need not a strong W-LAN signal. Because the correction value comes from the RTK/GPS Base by wireless 868Mhz. And if you buy the long range Ardusimple packet, then you can mow in a long distance to your RTK/GPS Base.
