Arduremote data logging

Good morning,

Does anybody know where in the Android device the application write sensor logging data?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Alexander,

I cannot find any pfodAppRawData directory in my device, which does not look very surprising as I am not using pfodApp but ArduRemote. Maybe ArduRemote only logs to the phone screen, not to a file?

Thanks, best regards

Manuel

Hello Manuel,

Actually, in the ArduRemote logging to file must be enabled first via Android Menu Button:

Enable logging

Logging data is sent to:

Android Drive/ArduRemote/comm_xxx.txt

This should do the trick?

Alexander

Hi again,

I am not sure that I have that option in my device. Does the phone have to be rooted in order to use it, by any chance?

Regards

Manuel

No such button on your device?

Hello Manuel,

What is your exact Android device? Maybe I can find out a workaround. At the time the ArduRemote was developed all devices had a menu button. So I find it very odd that Android can say goodbye to a hardware detail that all devices had some years ago...

Alexander
